most of the major details of caden's birthday is finished. still so many things to do. only 2 weeks left.
been staying at my in-laws haw for 2 weeks now. malvin is still in korea and will be coming home on friday. so far my stay here has been okay. mommy is taking good care of me and caden.
can't wait for caden's birthday, after 4 days, we will be going to dipolog to visit my folks. can't wait to travel again!
i finished the backdrop, standee, invitation and the name tag.

went to divi last week to buy toys for caden's birthday. so many more things to do !!!

lazy lazy lazy

i'm a little lazy these past few days. so tired =(
we went to peek-a-boo at sm the block last saturday to have caden's picture taken so i can use it at our tarpaulin for his birthday. he has no smiling picture because he just woke up when we went there. will post picture as soon as i get it.
went to st. charbel last saturday to pay the downpayment and sunday to look at it again. hmmm...what can i say. for the clubhouse's price, it's a little expensive. 12k is the price of clubhouses in san juan area and the place isn't all that! but, since i started preparing for caden's birthday very late already, i guess i have no choice. ahya winston called me yesterday and he said he might get me a venue somewhere in san juan. i said ok and i called st. charbel to hold the booking until the end of the week.
i already made the invitation of caden. how does it look? =D

waaaa =(( sad..sad...news =( we won't be having a kiddie party anymore. well, not a personalized party that is. my hubby just informed me that we don't have the budget. huhuhu...i guess jollibee or mc donald will do. caden's first birthday and child dedication will be celebrated at jollibee....waaaaahhhh!!! as sad as i am, i know we have to make do with what we have because money, especially at this time, is really hard for us. =( sniff....

st. charbel it is!

went to corinthians today and saw the place. the south hall was huge. the only setback is the place has 4 halls with each individual entrance but only one main entrance. so it's like if there would be 4 party's at the same time, you would wonder how chaotic it would be.
i guess st. charbel would be the best option for the venue. it's intimate and clean.

we might have a venue already !

yey! we sort of got a venue already =D st. charbel and corinthians. but since st. charbel can only hold around 120 pax, we might get corinthians, 150 pax for the same rate of 12k. i asked my mother in law if she could meet with us tom and go check out corinthians. if the venue is okay then we will book it already =D cross fingers!

still no venue !!

still have no venue yet!! PANIC MODE!!!! only 1 month and 6 days to go. what to do!! what to do!!! i called corinthians again to check if their clubhouse is still available. i'll know by monday. went to bel-air last thrs night to check the clubhouse. it's okay but the function room on the ground floor is a bit small. the 2nd floor is bigger but the guests have to climb up the stairs. hassle. waaaaaa!!!! hmmm...magjollibee nalang kaya ako !! hahaha.. have to finilize everything next week. malvin will be leaving for korea on the 9th of november. he will be gone for 2 weeks. have to get everything done before he leaves. especially the studio shot of caden. (grumble grumble grumble!)

venue?

having second thought of our venue at mmldc for caden's birthday. it's a little far from everybody. still looking for venues but since it's december, most venues are already booked. oh noh!!! i will try again tom to call some other venues. so sad...should have prepared earlier. i forgot december is the busiest month. worst comes to worst, i'm already pencil booked at kamayan (edsa, glorietta and megamall) so i can still have somewhere to fall back on if ever i couldn't find a clubhouse for the party.
so far i paid the downpayment for the magician (symond) and the tatoo ( art n' faces) they have a promo of face painting/glitter tatoo/nail art for only 3500.00 =D
i just hope i can make some progress tomorrow =D

halloween party at citibank

yesterday was the halloween party of citibank. malvin was "pho" of kung fu panda. they were great! it has a story line and the whole cast dance to the tune of kung fu fighting.
it's just now that i remembered, we should have ask them if we could get all the decorations after the show so we could use it as a decoration for the birthday party of caden. (stupid! grrrr)
caden's costume was sent over by his be-ko cha from hongkong. it's so cute. his dad is big pho and he is little pho =D hihihi.. he was scared when his dad put on the mask. even if malvin kept on calling him so he would recognize the voice, he still got scared.

caden can decide on his own =D

on the way to get the costume of caden, malvin and i were talking where we would celebrate the 1 year old birthday of caden. if at dads/saisaki or at mmldc. i asked caden where he wants, if saisaki or mmldc, then he somewhat said, mmldc. malvin and i laughed! i asked again, and again, he said in a babbled sound, mmldc =)) at 10 months old, he can decide on his own =)) so mmldc it is ! =)) hahaha...

short story at singapore trip

still here in singapore =D just waiting to board on our plane going back to manila. our flight is at 9:40am. have sooo many pictures and stories =D hahaha... my most memorable experience here in singapore was the night safari. i know it's boring but they have a halloween theme now so we didn't get the chance to go on the trails because there were sooo many people who would scare us. anywhere you turn, there are either a half bloody body hanging in the trees or a vine near a tree that would suddenly move when you pass by it. just after crossing the bridge, we head back to the entrance =)) so lame =)) malvin and i were really scared! it's been ages since i went in a somewhat horror train that would scare people inside. i'm not young anymore!!!
i really had a great time here in singapore. timothy (friend of malvin) was so accommodating. we bunked with him for 5 days! his place was so nice. it's on the 11th floor and overlooking the ocean.
will blog more stories when i get back to manila.

caden's first word

caden has been babbling this couple of weeks now and last week, he said mama!! i was so happy! hihihi..then this morning while he was playing in his playpen, he said pa-pa-pa-papa! hahaha...i bet malvin will be so happy when he hears that. hayyy..my baby is so big already =D

pitiful andador

that's how heavy my baby is =)) he keeps on jumping in his walker. look at the walker...looks so pitiful. his grandma bought him an ashworthy walker. he likes using it but like all walker, he's knees lacks strength since all he has to do is push a little and he moves. hahaha...he used the rattan walker (andador) for just 1 day and i can see the difference. he uses his knees to stand and walk. now, i just hold one of his arm and he can walk by himself.

ranting ...no dsl

huhuhu...i have no internet. i don't know what's wrong with my pldt. there's no dial tone. malvin tried to call from his office but he said our phone just keeps on ringing. i'm now using my smart line phone as a modem so i can use the internet. it's a little slower than dsl but at least i can surf. =D hmmm... caden is sleeping right now so nothing to do but blog.

dang...i miss my canon digicam. it's the first cam that i bought with my own money. i already sold it coz malvin bought me a sony digicam . it's so confusing to use!!!! grrrrrr.... my shots kept on turning out blurred !!! with my old canon cam, i just point and shoot. even if my subject is moving, the picture still turns out great!! waahh...anyone know's how to use a sony cybershot? arggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!

brazil...2nd year anniversary

went to eat at brazil (serendra) at the fort yesterday to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. it's so hard to eat all you can with a baby or without a yaya. since we have to savor each food, caden got bored and kept on fidgeting. he kept on smiling with all the waiters and cooks there.
the food was ok. the service was very good. i loved their fruit salad, chocolate cake, pasta, ribs and their franks. actually, there's nothing special with the taste of the food that you would want to go back again. =D there were grilled franks, ribs, beefs, chicken and more.... i think i ate too much coz i woke up in the middle of the night and threw up! i felt sooo dizzy and thought there must be something wrong with the food that we ate! until morning, i'm still full!

still no venue =(

hayyy..still waiting for the confirmation of the venue (mmldc) from ms sheryl. she was supposed to get in touch with me last week. (sad)
hmmmm...i'm still deciding if we will be getting symond or ruther. symond is much cheaper and i heard he's also very good. ruther on the other hand, is being referred by his co-magicians. i think i asked 3 magicians already. but he's much more expensive =( hayyy... what to do..what to do....

2 days to go before our 2nd wedding anniv !!

oh my !! 2 days to go before our 2nd year wedding anniversary. hmmm....i don't think we planned anything special =D since it's a work day, i guess we will just have a family dinner date. we have to bring caden with us =D hehehe... hmmm..where should we eat? it's been so long since we had a date. can't wait for tuesday to come !!

battered mommy

i'm not a battered wife, i'm a battered mommy!! hehehe... caden loveeesss to bite me... and only me! he never bites his dad (only the nipple episode) or my in-laws. i don't know why =(( my sil said that it might be because i'm using jhonsons milk bath. maybe caden smells the milk and think it's food! tsk..tsk...tsk....pha-pha!!

tunnel

i think it was 2 months ago when i went to divisoria and bought 4 pcs of cloth laundry basket. i made a tunnel for caden. it's only now that he loves playing with it. but since he's a little big already, he sometimes gets stuck going back in =D

mmldc

we went to mmldc in antipolo last saturday. hopefully they still have the slot for dec 7, 2008 for caden's birthday. cross fingers! the place is so serene because of the trees surrounding the Areva Pavilion. this is also where the shobe of malvin had her 18 birthday. i just hope we can still get it. i was already planning how to put the balloons and the chairs and how to design it right after we left the place. hihihi...excited =D

kamayan buffet for caden's party?

hmmm...we might just hold the party at kamayan (dad/saisaki) at edsa. the one with the 2nd floor. at least we can have the place all to ourselves and the venue if free !! =D malvin wants to have the party during lunch time since we will be having the child dedication around 10am. kamayan buffet is 325.00 for adults and 210.00 for kids. additional 82.00 for bottomless ice tea and 71.00 for bottomless softdrinks. it comes with a stage, gift and cake table, sound system, balloon, banner, 30pcs invites, 30 pcs nametags, pabitin, 30pcs party hats and a gift for the celebrant. the meryenda buffet is much cheaper. i think it only costs 110/head for the merienda buffet, 32/head for the bottomless iced tea. hmmm...what to do...what to do.... =D

magician for caden's party

omg! the magicians are expensive! =D i was looking over the prices for each magician and i kept shaking my head =D but my friend said not to look for the cheapest magician coz i might end up regretting it. the host/magician will be the one who will carry the party. she said the host/magician is the heart and soul of the party. oh well...the main problem is , i still don't have a venue =D gosh!

makati park and garden

just got back from makati park and garden. malvin didn't like the place, the whole floor looks dirty and he said since it's an irregular shape, we can't put our guests in one place. not everybody can see the stage. i guess the place is a little bit old already. oh well...i need to go on a venue hunting again. he said maybe we should try albergus. the food is yummy. but there is an additional payment for the venue on top of the price per head. hmmm...i need to get their package to compare the cost. hihihi...

a little income

i'm thinking of starting a party decoration business. at least i could work at home while taking care of caden and earn a little to help malvin with our daily expenses. hmmm...
anybody needs a balloon decorator with backdrop tarpulin?

it's hard to plan a birthday celebration especially if it would fall on december. most of the venues are fully booked already.i just hope that we can still find a venue that would be in our budget. hmmm...anyone knows where i can rent a venue worth 2k only with aircon? hahaha...oh well. we will check out makati park and garden at guadalupe tomorrow. i think it's 5k for makati resident. plus it's aircon and the place is clean and nice. i think corinthians is still available but i don't think i want to spend so much on a venue. 18k !! i don't think so. hmmm...what if we just celebrate it at mc donald? we could save a bundle if we just have the party there. =D but, knowing me, i would rather scout for affordable suppliers to fit our budget or go back and forth to divisoria than to just celebrate my baby's first birthday in jollibee or mc donald. no offense to those who celebrated their birthday there. it's just that i want to make my baby's first birthday a little more special. =D

we've decided to have a kiddie party! yehey! the only problem is all the venues are fully booked!! hala! i tried calling some of the clubhouses and all of them are fully booked na!!! ahya winston suggested corinthians and a friend of mine suggested ayala heights. hayy, have to call them up tom to see if they are still available. don't know if we're going to celebrate it on the 6th or the 7th of december. it depends on the venue...hayyy...nakakaloka!!!!

when to scold or spank your baby?

my mil fetch caden and me for lunch today. on our way back to the house, caden was soooooo fidgety. he kept on standing up and making fake cries. my mil said she can't remember her children being that mischievous. she said she's very strict even when her kids are still young. she doesn't let her kids undermine her. it's like nowadays, we moms give in easily to our kids. we let them do what they like to do. but my baby is only 9 months old =( if my baby can understand already, that's the time i will scold him or spank him. i definitely won't spoil him!
so? when is the right time to teach our baby the right and wrong things? when should we start scolding or spanking him? it's so hard to be a first time parent especially when someone is constantly looking over your shoulder ='( *sob*

lauriat or kiddie party?

hayyyy...i'm still thinking either caden will have a kiddie party or lauriat on his birthday. it would be his 1st birthday and baptismal. if lauriat, it would just be a simple get together. no kids. no games....no fun (boring) hehehe...but if he will be having a kiddie party, i'm not sure how many kids will attend since both our families doesn't have many nieces and nephews. hmmm... only 3 months to go and i still haven't decided yet !!!

my baby is now 9 months and 12 days. he has 5 teeth already and they are really sharp !!! he bit my pointer finger and it bled!! he likes to bite everything ! he even bit his dad's nipple ..hahaha =)) i kept on laughing while his dad was telling me how caden bit him =)) i told him now he knows how painful it is =))

29th international book fair

we went to the 29th international book fair yesterday at SMX (mall of asia) . there were so many people but it's a good thing the aircon was in full blast. the air was cool. you wouldn't feel irritated even if there are many people beside you.
i had a gift certificate from power books so i bought 2 books for caden. one is the farm faces (a book of masks) which you could use like a mask because it has 2 holes for your eyes. it has a dog, cow,chick, sheep, pig and baby faces =D it's so cute.
and the other one was MOO! MOO! WHAT ARE YOU? (a touch and feel book). it's also a nice book . it has different patches of furs from cat, dog, sheep, pig and cow. he likes to get the fur of the dog from the book. it's so cute watching him take interest in a book. usually when he holds it, he puts it in his mouth and eat it. =D
